Individual Responsibilities and Duties
The following individual titles are currently in use:
- To be the Christmas in October representative in a specific
neighborhood. Having extensive knowledge of the program, neighborhood.
Have extensive knowledge of the program, neighborhood homeowners,
and teams and advise accordingly.
- To attend Site Selection Committee
meetings in assigned area and report results to Steering Committee.
- To attend House Captain meetings in July and September.
- To schedule site visits with House Captain(s) in July and
August. The purpose of this site visit is to review workscope
and supply list, making additions or deletions as needed.
- To review and evaluate House Captains Notebook.
- To conduct orientation and subsequent training sessions for
House Captains.
- To work with House Captains in recruitment, training and recognition
of volunteers.
- To be responsible for Volunteer Letter.
- To be responsible for procuring from corporations list of
volunteers and waiver forms.
- To track corporate tee shirts needs, corporate logos and distribution.
- To write thank you letters to volunteers after CIO.
- To coordinate all work on the job site.
- To identify Side Captains, Supplies Captain, Window Squads
and Screen Teams.
- To establish other job-site roles to get the job done.
- To confirm all color selections with homeowner and pass them
along to others.
- To assemble a "side team": volunteers to work on
this one side.
- To remind the volunteers of the job procedure and safety hints.
- To ensure work on their wall is completed according to plan.
- To coordinate scaffolding set-up as first responsibility on
each work day.
- To organize and distribute the supplies. This job is very
important because each team has only been given the exact amount
of supplies needed and it is crucial that they are kept track
of.
- To ensure that all window glazing and screen replacements
and repairs are done in an organized manner.
